I’m a geospatial scientist and civil engineer driven by curiosity about how our planet works beneath the surface. Originally from India, I pursued my passion across continents—from IIT Roorkee to Germany and now Newcastle. My research uses satellite technology to monitor invisible changes in groundwater and land movement, helping cities prepare for environmental challenges.
Beyond research, I’m committed to mentoring—whether supervising PhD students or supporting over 1,200 international students as a Resident Hall Tutor. I believe great science happens when we combine technical rigour with genuine care for people and planet.

I’m a researcher and teacher who uses space technology to solve Earth’s problems. Satellites can detect tiny movements in the ground—sometimes just millimetres—caused by water being pumped from underground. I study these changes in cities like London and Delhi to help prevent buildings and roads from sinking.
I also look at water quality and how climate change affects our water supplies. As a university lecturer, I teach students how to survey land, design drainage systems, and protect our environment. My goal is training future engineers to build a safer, more sustainable world.
