About Me:
I am an Assistant Professor in Psychology at Northumbria University. My research looks at how people behave and understanding how they think and feel about things. I live in the North East and I currently work at Northumbria University but I have also been a lecturer at the University of Reading, University of New England and Durham University. I really like my job, my favourite bits are helping students and interviewing people as part of my research – i find it super interesting! I lived in Australia for 7 years and I did my PhD at Macquarie University in Sydney which was amazing! I got to do all kinds of cool things like trekking in the outback and camping in the bush. I absolutely love food (love a fish and chip or a thai takeaway!) and cooking and one of my favourite activities is baking with my kids.

I teach a module about how to conduct research to MSc students who want to become health, sport or business psychologists. I also teach an undergraduate module on mental health. In addition to running my own research, I help MSc students to run research that they are interested in. I am also part of the team in our department that talks to GCSE and Alevel students who are interested in studying psychology. So if you come for a visit to Northumbria university as part of their psychology taster days you might see me!
