      I am an instrument and control engineer working in the energy industry –  in particular I work on a carbon capture project. I currently live in London with my husband🏠

      I work as an engineer on a carbon capture and storage (CCUS) project  designing a process plant that will produce clean power in Teesside.
      During  my time off I enjoy playing Netball and catching up with friends  – one of my favourite activities is paddleboarding. I also LOVE to read and can often be found with my head in a book! 📚

      I work as a control and instrumentation engineer on a power & carbon capture project – designing things that will keep the plant running safely and efficiently.

    • Education:

      I grew up in Durham, where I went to primary and secondary school.

      My favourite subjects were always PE and Science at school and I studied Chemistry, Physics, Maths and German at A-Level

      After that I went to University of Birmingham to Study  Chemical Engineering for 4 years.

    • Qualifications:

      GCSEs (English, Maths, Science, Religious Studies, History, PE, Music, French, German)

      A- Levels (Chemistry, Physics, Maths, German)

      Masters Degree in Chemical Engineering

    • Work History:

      When I finished Sixth Form I did a year in industry (via a scheme called EDT YINI) at Procter and Gamble where I was working on testing laundry detergents.

      During uni I worked for NCS in my summer breaks and also did a summer internship with BP, who I now work for.

      During my time with bp I have also spent time working offshore in Senegal (West Africa) where I learnt lots about engineering at a real site.,

    • Current Job:

      I have worked in several roles,  I am currently working  in the UK as an instrument and control engineer on a carbon capture project. I have also spent time working offshore in Senegal and on a UK blue hydrogen project!

        I don't think I had any idea (I still don't!)

        Hmm... possibly an outdoor activity instructor or a florist!
