My Work:
I am an Electrical Engineer. My job is to do electrical designs that help get power from where it is made to where we need it such as homes, schools and shops.

As part of my job, I’m mostly working from an office but I get to go on site visits around Newcastle and sometimes around the UK too.
I work on energy projects that look at how we move energy around the country to get it to where we need it – at home, schools, shops and workplaces.
I also work on water projects where we use energy to move our clean water and sewage around the country to where it needs to be.

Education:
I went to a school called Wallace High School in Stirling (named after William Wallace from Braveheart!).
After school, I moved to Glasgow to go to the University of Strathclyde. I lived there for 5 years then moved to Newcastle.

I work for a company called Stantec. Our job is to do engineering designs and give advice to companies that have ideas for projects they’d like to do.

What did you want to be after you left school?
I really liked maths and science so I decided to be an engineer.

I think I would be a teacher.
