Hi! I’m Atma, an aerospace engineer and scientist who loves planes, rockets, and anything that flies.
I’m especially interested in how we can make flying and space travel cleaner and more sustainable for the future.I didn’t always know I’d become an engineer, I was just curious about how things work and liked maths, science, and asking lots of questions!

When I’m not teaching or researching, I enjoy talking to young people about science careers, running hands-on activities (like rockets and gliders), and sharing cool science facts.

My Work:
I work as an aerospace engineering lecturer and researcher at a Teesside University. That means I:
Teach students about aircraft engines, rockets, and space missions
Research ways to reduce emissions from aircraft engines
Help design future space and aerospace systems

A big part of my job is inspiring the next generation of engineers and scientists.
I regularly visit schools, take part in STEM events, and speak on radio and at public science shows about space, aviation, and engineering careers. -

I went to school in India before becoming an aerospace engineer in the UK.

I studied Physics as an undergraduate in Delhi, then completed an MSc in Space Systems Engineering and a PhD in Aerospace Engineering in the UK.
